2026 Kaiser Permanente Hawai‘i Annual Day of Service
Hosted by HPMG
Welcome
Hawai‘i Permanente Medical Group is honored to host this day of service for Kaiser Permanente Hawai‘i on Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Monday, January 19, 2026. We invite physicians, providers, and staff from Hawai‘i Permanente Medical Group, Pacific Permanente Group, and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals to safely gather with friends, family, and community partners in giving back to our local ‘ohana. We’re proud to be supporting ahupua‘a restoration and cultural preservation on O‘ahu, Maui, Hawai‘i Island, and Kaua‘i.
Our ongoing theme of ho‘oku‘ikahi (to unify as one) speaks to the cultural, professional, and personal bonds that form when individuals from a diversity of backgrounds come together for a common goal.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Guests
- Adult guests should register themselves. Guests who are minors must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
- Guests must read and attest to the Kaiser Permanente Volunteer Release Form when they register. (The form is also available on the FAQ and Forms page.) All volunteer release forms for minors, including site-specific waiver and release forms, must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If you intend to bring minors for whom you are not legally responsible, you must have the minor’s parent or legal guardian complete the forms. Site-specific waiver and release forms for each guest must be turned in at check-in, unless they’re hosted online.
- Volunteers bringing young children will be responsible for them at all times. Babysitting and child supervision services are not provided at any of our sites.
- If your guest is a student fulfilling a community service requirement, a Community Service Verification Form is available on the FAQ and Forms page. Guests may print and bring their form to their community service location on January 19 for completion at the end of the day.
App
We’ll again have an event app dedicated to supporting the Annual Day of Service. The app will include your QR code that will be needed to check in on January 19, site-specific information and directions, and photo contest feed. Instructions on how to download the app will be sent to registrants closer to January 19.
Photo Contest
Calling all (aspiring) photographers! HPMG invites you to submit your best photos that depict teamwork and aloha at our Annual Day of Service. Photos are automatically submitted for the contest when posted on the Activity Feed on the Annual Day of Service app. Details about the photo contest will be available closer to January 19.

T-shirts
We’re pleased to provide each volunteer with a blue, complimentary, commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt as a thank-you for your service and celebration of the day. These shirts will be similar to the gray long-sleeved shirts from recent Annual Day of Service events. Please select your and your guests’ shirts sizes when registering for this year’s Annual Day of Service. You’ll receive your shirt(s) when you check in on January 19.

Refreshments
We’ll be providing pre-packaged, individually wrapped snacks and grab-and-go lunches at most sites (no breakfast). If you or your guest(s) have any food allergies or restrictions, please indicate what they are when you register for this event.
All volunteers are asked to bring a full reusable water bottle with them to their site. Depending on your site, we’ll have water-filling stations or unchilled bottled water on hand in the event that volunteers need water.
First Aid
During this active and busy day, we want you to have fun and also be safe. First aid will be available at each of our sites.
Social Media
Volunteers are welcome to post photos of their experience at Annual Day of Service on their personal social media accounts. Please use #KPAloha in your posts.
